Since we are half way through the 2016 wedding season (Already?!) I wanted to share some pretty awesome wedding trends that I have been spotting lately! During our consultations we have been seeing a few of these new trends coming up, making us think they will probably stick around till 2017!
This isn't a new trend per say but we are starting to see the backless dress in mainstream weddings and not just on the runways. What's great about the backless dress is that its classy in the front with some vaa vaa voom in the back! One of my best friends got married this past June and I must say she definitely rocked this backless dress trend with total class and sass. Just Gorgeous!
This is a really fun trend that I can't wait to see more of. You can stick with one florescent colour or do a rainbow of neon! This neon look is best mixed with neutral tones. Either with white, black and white or nude neutrals - this way you can avoid your wedding looking like a glow in the dark bowling party. This image from www.shefinds.com does this neon wedding trend perfectly! I'd love to do a backdrop with a hint of neon or maybe some centerpieces or chair designs. Could you do this neon trend?
Geometric Decor and Designs
I recently purchased my first house (Yay!) and when searching for house decor I have really been drawn in by the Geometric decor pieces. Especially the gold ones! Oh I love gold! So I was pretty excited when I started to see these Geometric designs show up in weddings too! Mixed with some bold colours and metallics, this trend is definitely something to consider mixing in with your wedding decor.

Rustic is here to stay! ......at least for one more season. As much as I liked the burlap and mason jars, this trend is definitely more glammed up and more my style! I love the natural woods, mixed with chandeliers, marquee letters, globe bulb lights, lace, chalk board signs and lots of greenery! Even a deer head! This look goes well with soft hue colour pallets such as creams, light pinks, grey, golds and silvers.
Always remember a wedding trend is just like fashion trends. If the high waisted short and crop top is not for you, doesn't mean you have to wear it. Same goes with wedding trends, If you love one of these trends and its totally your style, I say do it! Even if it's a little bold or different! What do you think? Would you do any of these trends for your wedding?
